Philosophy

Life comes first.

Then, comes running.

Life is dynamic. It evolves, it shifts, it throws things at you. Your coach should recognize that the only way you succeed is if you give yourself the grace to move through the process of training without letting it own you.

My goal is to support your running so you can enjoy the process without getting buried in the details. Leave the planning to me. We will collaborate to make you a better athlete and a better human.

Periodization is part of your training plan. So is flexibility. So is the recognition that you are, above all else, a person with a life that matters more than any race.

I have been the person who called themselves a runner and felt lost when running was not an option. That is why this is called Not a Runner. You are not defined by the sport. You are a human who runs. That distinction changes everything about how you train, how you race, and how you recover.
